International Girl Child Day

International Girl Child Day was celebrated at Don Bosco School, Alto-Dabolim on November 19th, 2025 with great enthusiasm. The programme began with a prayer by Leasia from Grade 4 and a prayer song, followed by a pledge led by Goutami of Grade 2. Teacher Sonia spoke on the significance of the day, sharing her own experiences. The School In-charge welcomed the guests: Mrs. Maria A. Almeida, Mrs. Antonia Paes, ex-student Shreya Sannaki, and Teacher Sneha Sawant.

Mrs. Almeida engaged students through interactive acts demonstrating gender equality in daily life. Shreya encouraged students to believe in themselves, try new things, face fears, and remain kind. Teacher Sneha emphasized hard work and daily discipline for success. Tokens of appreciation were presented to the guests.

A meaningful play on girl child education and an action song by Teacher Natasha energized the students. The event ended with the School and National Anthems, inspiring girls to aspire and lead confidently.
