We are thrilled to announce the successful conclusion of the ‘Different Strokes’ art exhibition, which ran from November 21st to November 23rd at the Central Library, Patto, Panaji.
Art with a Purpose:
Organised by artist and curator Rubina Dsouza, in collaboration with Don Bosco’s Konkan Development Society (KDS), and featuring the works of ‘Artists for a Cause,’ this unique show transformed art into a powerful tool for social good. The exhibition brought together diverse works from talented artists, including veterans like Damodar Manohar Madgaonkar and contributors like Harshada Kerkar and Clarice Vaz, all united by a commitment to social responsibility.
Impact and Contribution:
We extend our deepest gratitude to all the Artists who generously donated their work, and to the community members and art enthusiasts whose participation made this event a success.
All proceeds raised from the sale of the artworks will be directed towards:
- Educational Support: Providing critical funding to ensure children who are otherwise unable to continue schooling can pursue their education.
- Empowering Women: Offering a new lease of life to destitute women through essential support programmes.
Thank You:
‘Different Strokes’ was more than just a display of creativity; it was a testament to the strength of Goa’s art community and the incredible impact that can be achieved when art serves a higher purpose. Your attendance and support truly mattered, turning ‘strokes on a canvas’ into ‘strokes of hope’ for children and women in need!
