EMPOWERING CIVIL SOCIETY THROUGH A CAPACITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME ON HUMAN RIGHTS BASED APPROACH FOR NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANISATIONS.
This project, which is spread over a period of one year in the first phase, aims at contributing towards achieving the UNDP’s Sustainable Development Goals particularly focusing on poverty alleviation, zero hunger, good health and well being, gender equality, clean water and sanitation, decent work and economic growth, reduced inequalities and partnerships for these goals.
The 5 subjects being covered under the project are:
- Participatory Approach
- Advocacy skills
- Lobbying skills
- Negotiation strategies and Skills
- Right to Welfare schemes
The Training of 30 Trainers for the first of the 5 topics was conducted and they in turn will impart their knowledge to another 200 people. Through this networking and sharing we hope to reach out to about 45000 members of Civil Society in our province.
