Write For Good 2023

Bosconet and Don Bosco’s Konkan Development Society of Panjim Province, organised a four-day
training on ‘How to Write Better Project Proposals,’ at Don Bosco Provincial House, Odxel from 5th
to 8th March 2024.

The training, conducted by Mr. Luis Manohar from Bosconet, Delhi, aimed to teach participants the
skills needed to write strong and systematic Project Proposals.

During the training, Mr. Manohar shared his expertise in professionally writing Project Proposals.
The sessions were interactive, with practical exercises to help participants understand the key
components of a good Project Proposal.

Each day focused on different aspects of writing. Day one covered analyzing problems, conducting
baseline surveys, using data collection tools, writing problem statements, and setting objectives and
strategies.

Day two focused on setting goals and objectives, understanding SMART objectives, and creating a
results chain.

Day three introduced participants to the log-frame approach, scheduling activities, and monitoring
and evaluating projects. The final day covered budgeting, risk assessment, engaging stakeholders,
the Theory of Change, and common reasons why projects often fail.

Participants found the training helpful and appreciated its hands-on approach. They felt more
confident in their ability to write compelling Project Proposals, by the end of the programme.
